RMIT Vietnam was established in 2000 as the first foreign-owned university in Vietnam. The Saigon South campus in Ho Chi Minh City is RMIT Vietnam's flagship, a purpose-built, contemporary educational facility of international standard. The campus is known for its green, open spaces, modern classrooms, well-stocked libraries, computer labs, design studios, and sports facilities. RMIT Vietnam attracts students from over 50 countries, creating a multicultural and inclusive community. Saigon South sits in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, a modern, internationally-oriented part of Vietnam's largest city. The campus has a thriving student life with sports clubs, cultural societies, business and entrepreneurship clubs, and regular events. HCMC offers excellent restaurants, shopping, beaches within a few hours' drive, and is well-connected to neighbouring countries via Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Cost of living is significantly lower than in Australia or other Western study destinations.
