📍 About this Campus
Open University Greece, formally branded Anatolia American University, was launched in 2025 as one of only four foreign universities licensed by the Greek Ministry of Education under Law 5094/2024 to operate as a non-state, non-profit University Legal Entity (ULE). The campus is delivered through a strategic partnership with Anatolia College, a 139-year-old educational institution founded in 1886 with deep historical ties to American liberal arts education. The university operates from Anatolia's 270-acre Pylea campus on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, comprising 33 buildings. A Campus Master Plan is underway for four new dedicated buildings, with the first scheduled for completion by 2027. Anatolia American University is the OU's flagship international branch in Europe, offering full English-language Bachelor's degrees fully equivalent in academic and professional standing to those issued by Greek public universities.

🌟 Student Life
Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city and northern capital, offers a vibrant Mediterranean lifestyle at a significantly lower cost than Athens (around 15–25% cheaper). The historic seafront, with its iconic White Tower, sits alongside lively neighbourhoods like Ladadika and Bit Bazaar, busy student bars and cafés, and easy access to the beaches of Halkidiki and the heritage sites of northern Greece. Anatolia's Pylea campus is in a green suburban setting roughly 6 km from the city centre, with regular bus connections. The Anatolia community has a long tradition of international exchange, with strong links to the United States and academic partnerships across Europe, giving students a genuinely multicultural environment.
