📍 About this Campus
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open in China, established in 2004 in partnership with Zhejiang Wanli University. Students study a UK curriculum, taught entirely in English by Nottingham faculty, and receive a University of Nottingham degree identical to Nottingham UK or Malaysia. The 144-acre Ningbo campus is a faithful replica of the UK's University Park, including a clocktower modelled on Nottingham's Trent Building. Ningbo is a major port city on China's east coast, around 2 hours by high-speed rail south of Shanghai.

The 144-acre Ningbo campus has been designed to mirror Nottingham's UK campus, with a clocktower, lake and gothic-influenced architecture. 100+ student societies including the Students' Union (the only one of its kind on a Sino-foreign campus). Ningbo itself is a clean modern port city with a milder climate than northern China and excellent food, while Shanghai is just 2 hours away by high-speed rail.
