Monash University is one of Australia's leading research universities, ranked QS #36 globally and a member of the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8), Australia's equivalent of the UK's Russell Group. Monash University Malaysia was established in 1998 as the first foreign university campus in Malaysia and remains the third-largest campus in the entire Monash global network. Located in Bandar Sunway, one of Malaysia's most vibrant planned townships, 20km from Kuala Lumpur, the campus serves over 11,000 students from 80+ countries. It is accessible via the SunU-Monash BRT station and a Canopy Walk connecting directly to Sunway Pyramid Mall. The campus is adjacent to Sunway Lagoon theme park, Sunway Medical Centre and an extensive retail and entertainment precinct. Students receive the same Monash University (Australia) degree as those at the Melbourne campuses, with MQA accreditation and Monash self-accreditation status since 2010.
