πŸ“ About this Campus
Curtin Malaysia sports hall
Curtin University Malaysia was established in 1999 as the first Curtin offshore campus and remains the largest international campus in the Curtin global network. Located on a stunning 1,200-acre garden campus in Senadin, Miri, the industrial heart of Sarawak, the campus was also the first foreign university campus established in East Malaysia. The natural setting, surrounded by lakes, canals and wildlife unique to Borneo, offers one of the most distinctive campus experiences of any branch campus globally. Students receive exactly the same internationally recognised Curtin University (Australia) degree certificate as graduates at the Perth main campus, with fees approximately one-third of those in Australia. Eligible Sarawakian students can study under the 2026 Free Tertiary Education Scheme.

🌟 Student Life
Miri is a clean, modern and safe city, the oil and gas capital of Sarawak, with a unique Bornean culture, excellent beaches, and access to some of the world's most biodiverse rainforests. The Curtin campus itself is a destination: 1,200 acres of garden landscape with lakes and native wildlife create an extraordinary study environment unlike any other branch campus. The city has a good infrastructure with banks, telecoms, transport and healthcare. Nearby Miri beaches and Lambir Hills National Park offer exceptional outdoor experiences. Shell, Petronas and Sarawak energy companies are major employers who actively recruit Curtin Malaysia graduates, making the location strategically excellent for Engineering and Science students.
